Why wait until summer to experience the flavours of Mexico? Here’s a little recipe, courtesy of our good friends at Njoy, that’s sure to ‘prick’ up your senses!To prepare:
Mix:
1 part tequila
1 part triple sec
3 parts Njoy Cactus with Apple and Lime juice
1 squeeze of lemon
Serve with crushed ice.

The prickly pear cactus can be grown indoors or in a rock garden. Make sure to check with your local garden centre as some species do not fare well in frosty conditions. As a native of the desert, the prickly pear prefers full sun or partial shade, a sandy soil, and just a little water when dry.
