Sow the seeds of love this Valentine’s Day
Thursday, 09 February 2012

sowtheseeds-valentinesday1.jpgWhile flowers say a lot on Valentine’s Day, seeds say so much more to those in need.

Chief executive, Paul Brown, says ChildFund is encouraging Kiwis to share the love by giving seeds to families in the developing world.

“While those roses will wilt within the week, seeds are a more enduring sign of your love that will grow into a whole vegetable garden to help nourish children,” says Mr Brown.

At $16, single packet of seeds can yield up to 640 plants, depending on the vegetable, and help grow a garden to feed a family.

In return purchasers receive a gift card explaining how their contribution will benefit children worldwide.
