A ‘Honey Dinner’ was recently held to celebrate National Bee Week and raise funds for the Wildflower Bee Fund.
The event, on June 8, saw a full house at fine dining favourite Vinnies Restaurant in Herne Bay, with plenty of well-known Auckland faces in attendance.
The who’s-who of beekeeping were amongst it all on the night, with Bees Online founder Maureen Maxwell featuring as a guest speaker along with the Auckland Town Hall's Honorary Beekeeper, Kim Kneijber.
Geoff Scott's honey inspired menu wowed over 40 diners on the night, with a bee inspired auction raising thousands for the Wildflower Bee Fund.
