celery.jpgCelery success story

Amanda Harrowell has kindly sent us her success with growing celery in a polystyrene box.

The story in her words:

"I decided for the first time to have a go at growing celery. I didn't expect much to happen but I was wrong.

"I bought a small punnet in November and planted them in some vege mix in an old polystyrene box that was lying around (I put holes in the bottom first). I then put a bit of vege food around them and watered them.

"Now... just look at them!!!! They have grown so well and ready for eating all ready with nice big long stems on them. They obviously don't mind being in the box, and maybe it’s a great container for growing veges in."

Thanks Amanda for sharing your success story with our readers. Hope you keep us updated on your other successes in the garden.
