Planning is well underway for the 2012 Ellerslie International Flower Show, presented by Egmont Seed Company.The show’s general manager, Dave Mee, says after the event was cancelled in 2011 due to the Christchurch earthquake, the show will offer a bright and beautiful time in the city.
“After the loss of the 2011 flower show it feels good to be moving forward, and putting tickets on sale for 2012 is a great milestone.”
Tickets are available for the event (to be held March 7-11 2012) from Tuesday November 1, 2011.
“We’re really confident next year is going to be a fantastic event. With our new sponsor on board and an influx of flowers planned,” says Dave.
To date almost $60,000 has been raised for the Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal with ticket holders from the cancelled 2011 event donating their refunds.

Discount tickets for the 2012 event are available at the earlybird rate of $29 (November 1 – February 13), or to Christchurch residents (from November 1-30) for $22.
